I can't find any libpre* files on my system what so ever...
Did you mean libpcre* path?

Hi,

Please try to add below lines before exec line in snapshot.sh file (may be applicable to all *.sh file if this works) )and check the link again. Seems problem with libpre* library file path. locate where libpre* is installed on your system and add/replace accordingly to what i suggested.

LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/usr/local/lib/
export LD_LIBRARY_PATH

I upgraded to latest Ubuntu 9.10 today, and I've been running Xymon from the repo install which upgraded it from Hobbit 4.2 to Xymon 4.3 beta2 (been waiting for this...).

AFAICS it must be the includes in hobbitserver.cfg that causes the problem...
Does anybody know how I can get the includes to work?

Strange, there should usually be a bit more in the error log. What lines precede this.

You should rather go with 4.3.0-beta2 which is pretty stable.
