For low end I've been pleased with CyberPower products.  Their units from local stores and NewEgg serve their purpose well.  We use them mostly for small VoIP devices or a switch.

If you don't mind me asking, can you tell me what kind of UPS it is?

No rush on this, it is an inconvenience but it isn't life threatening (to me at least =).

We just purchased a company and found several UPS units that will simply stop delivering power if the batteries are dead or if the fuse is blown.  Makes for a really bad battery backup solution in my opinion...
