help on devmon and SNMP quering.

Hi all,
I have managed to successfully install devmon on my hobbit server box and
i needed to monitor devices using snmp..my box supports MIB as well...but
i just cant get round to monitoring services like smtp...on monitored
devices...can some one kindly give me the procedures of doing this?
That would be of much help to me.
