Okay, I can’t seem to find how you implement this. (Typically, I’ve
only modified the bb-hosts file.)

it depends on how confident you want to be. a true active test will tell
you a real user can log in and do their stuff, while [port] and [procs]
can only tell you 'probably'.

You can also use the procs test to make sure the ftpd process is running.

Use the ports test.

Is there a more passive method to test FTP. Apparently on BulletProof
FTP it's logging each ftp test and creating an extensive log file.
