[Xymon] Windows Powershell client v2.21

Hi
For the servers with purple in the ‘xymonlog’ column, my guess is at some point you have had “xymonlogsend” in the client-local.cfg. This causes the XymonPSClient to send the log as a nicely formatted HTML page with the test name xymonlog.
I would say you had this directive in at one time and then removed it, causing purples in the column as your clients are no longer sending that data.
You can remove the xymonlog test in the usual way – xymon 0 "drop <host> xymonlog"
Cheers
Zak

You guess was right.
It's the size of the client messages being too large in Win2016 (Exchange servers...). Increasing client messages and tests allowed sizes in xymonserver.cfg makes columns reappear.
One more question: I still have purple in the "xymonlog" column, appearing only in some windows servers, not in others. It seems a duplicate of the "clientlog" column, common to linux clients too. Did I miss some documentation changes?
Regards,
Mario

Hi
I have just one Windows 2016 server in my environment but it is working ok and all columns are showing.
If the client payload (in xymon-lastcollect) is the same between 2012 and 2016 then I don’t think this can be an issue in the client, although I wouldn’t rule anything out.
Sorry I don’t really have any other suggestions at this point…
Zak
