Many thanx Torsten for your support.

I'm very sure this was the same link I got back in 2009 when I was looking for the same.
I will now have a closer look on this.

Gruss
Andi

Hi Andreas,

I think everything you need can be found here: https://wiki.xymonton.org/doku.php/monitors:termuser
including the script itself and the changes that have to be made on the XYmon server.

Torsten

Ok, found following answer from a guy called Torsten in the archive (thanx Jon):
(still wondering why I didn't get the answer into my inbox)

Hi Andreas,

why shouldn't it be possible to use termusers.pl with XYmon since XYmon
is only the new name for Hobbit but everything else stayed the same.
All you need will the Windows client BBWin for this.

So here's another question with regard to the Terminal Server Session Monitoring.:
I slightly remember, that the client part was one of the things which had to get customized for getting the User sessions monitored. That included the termusers.pl script to get launched on the Windows Terminal server. However, I also remember, that a change on the Xymon/Hobbit Server side was necessary too and had to get done as well. But unfortunately I don't really remember this piece of the puzzle. Could anyone help me out on this or give any useful hint?
Any help is appreciated and welcome.

Cheers
Andi

I remember seeing an answer. If you didn’t get it, check the archives on xymon.com.

Xymon was a rename of Hobbit. So if something worked with hobbit, it should work with Xymon. Though you may need to adjust some environment variables.

I don’t use Citrix.

Dear Paul

Actually this is the second or third time (at a max) I've resent this message. I've sent it again, because I haven't received any answer so far. Thus I wasn't sure whether maybe it has been stuck or has been lost somewhere.
Once again I've now re-checked all of my mail folders and still haven't find any answer to my post.
Have you seen an answer?

What should I do, what do you propose?

Cheers
Andi

Isn’t this the fourth time this exact email was sent?
And wasn’t it answered the first time?

Subject: [Xymon] Terminal Server (Citrix) User Session Monitoring

Hi folks

Is there anybody who is able to tell me, whether it's still possible with Xymon to monitor and collect user sessions for Citrix Terminal Servers as it used to be possible in the golden age of Hobbit?
I used to administrate Hobbit at my former employer and implemented user session monitoring back in 2009 with a tricky method based on the script termusers.pl which I got from this Xymon support community. However, I've changed my employer and now would like to implement Xymon more or less the same way as it was at my former employer for easy and simple monitoring & fast graphical reporting and I was wondering whether it's possible or not and whether there's anyone who could help me in this matter.
User Session monitoring is a knock-out criterion for me.

cheers
Andi
