Hi Tom, sorry for the top posting, it's the default for outlook at work.
We see the same thing occasionally, although we have never had to reboot
which just restart Xymon. Looking through the log files, I always
assumed it had something to do with stale alerts?

Subject: [xymon] TS - Why does ACK fail sometimes?
Importance: High
I am running xymon 4.3.0-0.beta2 on a Dell R-610 on CentOS 5.5.
When I try to ACK say a Disk Drive, the message is:
Then I get:
The Icon never changes from the RED face to the RED check mark.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!
Is there a patch for this problem? I have never had to patch the system
over the last year and a half.
I have noticed this on-and-off for the last year - after a reboot, the
device can be ACKed.
That is why I REBOOT every week.
Other than this problem, I have not had any problems with the code -
hope support continues.
I am monitoring over 1,000 devices, including mibs on Cisco devices for
cpu, temperature, fans, power supplies, memory, and system description.
Using Net-SNMP for the mib walks.
Thanks,
Tom Schmitt
