Hi,

So I figured this out just after I sent the post, but I think its quite tricky to debug this, especially when the error was a wrong syntax in hobbit-client.cfg:

HOST=horbck005
        PROC dsmserv 1 1 RED
        PROC

... the last lonely PROC made the hobbitd_rrd process core-dump - and theres no sign in any logfiles about this, nor any syntax-check of sorts.

Maybe thats something for the devs to look into?

Hi,

So I just go another xymon-client connected to our setup, an aix-client, and suddenly hobbitd_rrd core dumps every minute. Commenting the host our and removing all of the ./data/* doesnt help it - I tried updating rrdtool to the latest version - thats a nogo either. Heres a debug of the latest dump-file:

Core was generated by `hobbitd_rrd --rrddir=/home/xymon/data/rrd'.

#8  0x0000000000403035 in main (argc=<value optimized out>, argv=0x7fffb5bd6c68) at hobbitd_rrd.c:309

Any help appreciated.
