Hello;
I am trying to setup 2 now, possibly up to 4 later, Xymon servers. Each server would be located at one of several data centers, each would be receiving data from clients located at their own sites. I am trying to eliminate having to go to each Xymon server individually for data and was wondering if perhaps there is a better way to show reports for the others?
I've read this:
http://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/System_Monitoring_with_Xymon/Administration_Guide#HA-WAN_2_approach
Unfortunately this doesn't explain how it was done, especially the bbproxy part, nor how to configure my clients (BBWin, and various unixes, and a few Cisco devices later). By the way, I have a test XP workstation with BBWin and IP's for two of my Xymon servers, one is showing no data at all for this workstation.
Finally, I am of course very interested in holding a setup that does not page/email/alert for each other, except for when the other/peer is down?
Thank you all in advance,
.vadim
