Hi,

we're uisng Siemens TC35 modem with SMS Server Tools 3 (
http://smstools3.kekekasvi.com/). In hobbit (v. 4.1.2p1 and RedHat 3) we
have simple perl script which is parsing the alert text into
smsservertools format and then store it in outgoing folder. The rest is
done by smsservertools.

Everything is working fine, sometimes (2-3 times/year happen that the
modem get stuck, but another simple script is used for reset the modem.

Regards,
Jan

[hobbit] GSM modem with Hobbit on RedHat

Hi all

We are currently looking at getting a GSM modem for sending SMS messages
directly.
Has anybody on the list implemented a similar solution?
What GSM modem did you use?
What was your experience?

Regards
     Vernon
