Limiting the number of lines on a graph?

Is there a way to limit the number of lines that are displayed on a 
given graph?  For example, if I have 20 partitions, my graph could 
quickly become meaningless.

I want to limit it to say, 3 lines per graph, then have it start another 
graph.
