Expression in pcretest works, but not Hobbit

I'm trying to match a specific character in the third column of a list:

ABC0010 28771 V RR ABC0 12/23/2006
TRL1923 18882 Q R1 ABC2 12/24/2006
E19V911 08766 V V1 RKSA 01/22/2007

I'm looking for V's with the following expression:

\b\bV\b\b\b

This works with pcretest, but when I plug it into Hobbit (yes with the 
preceding %), it seems to find nothing.
