No.

I'd recommend firewall'ing port 1984, which gives you exactly the same
amount of security as the BB "security" file.

For more fine-grained access controls, look at the hobbitd man-page:
The --status-senders, --maint-senders, --www-senders and --admin-senders
options, specifically.
