Alternate to sendmail daemon on hobbit server

Hi All

Currently all alerts from hobbit server comes from the server and a reply
back to server access the server on smtpd daemon. Then it process thru
dot-forward and procmailrc. Then calls hobbit-mailack to ack.

Current setup:

    1.  hobbitd alert ----> relay server ----> pager
    2.  pager ----> smtpd on hobbit server

I want to set it up like this. Steps:

    1.  hobbitd alert ----> relay server ----> pager
    2.  pager ----> relay server ----> hobbitd

What would be the hobbit way I can send the ack from relay server to hobbitd
server without open smtpd on hobbitd?
