No-there was a red circle that flashes an X, and a yellow exclamation point. These were not on the server with the problem, but that server happens to monitor production servers, scripts, switches, etc, and changing a lot of displays on that server would have generated a lot of
discussion, not necessarily favorable. So, for now, it will only be the green diamond that will be different for them. Maybe later for the other displays. Thanks again for the help.

Was that the only one that was different? It sounds like the other servers may have had a different smiley theme applied to it.

Thank you, Galen and Larry. Problem has been solved, based on Galen's suggestion. I don't have xv or xview installed, but I was able to use WinSCP and copy all the gifs from each of the two servers into a Windows directory. I was then able to compare them and I found that, indeed, there was
a green diamond (green.gif) for the server that was working, but on the other server, the green.gif just displayed a round smiley face. That was an easy solution. I appreciate the help.

Check out the --recentgifs flags for xymongen. I suspect that it's set to something other than the default on that one server.

Thanks,
Larry Barber

If your server has xv or xview installed, you can use those to look at the images...you could also use your browser. Just right click on an image on view...then you can just change the names to view the ones you're curious about.

Problem: A greater than 24 hours status should display a diamond gif. For 2 of our 3 Hobbit servers, it works fine, but not on the 3rd. I have looked at recentgifs in the hobbitserver.cfg file, and do not see anything suspicious. In fact, there are quite a few more gif files in the /usr/local/hobbit/server/www/gifs directory for the one server that does not show any diamonds. I have not tested the gif files there, though-it could be it does not contain any gif that would display a diamond shape, but I do not know what those gifs would be called. At any rate, the file names seem to be the same as the other gifs on the other two servers-and I'm not sure how to display what picture they might show.

Is it possible that this feature has somehow been turned off or set to null? I have spent quite a bit of time looking for a solution, but have so far not found what I was looking for.

Thanks for the help.
