Increasing the maximum size of data a client can send

Hi all,

One of my clients is sending extremely large client packets.
Specifically it has hundreds of LDAP connections and these are reported
in the [ports] section, however I am not getting all of the data and the
hobbitd process is reporting the following warning:

Latest errormessages:
Oversize status msg from 10.44.85.244 for dir0.lon.oss.colt.net:ports
truncated (n=273337, limit=262144)

Digging through the code I can find some references to an environment
variable called "MAXMSG_CLIENT" which brings up two questions:

1. Can I set this so that I can allow for a larger client message?
2. Where should I set it to ensure that it takes effect?
