I am running hobbit on a VMWARE box as well. It's a virtual server and I
am getting the same issue.

When I ping from the CLI its around 2ms , but when hobbit ping's it from
the application it's around 22ms.

I still have no clue why??? Any help would be great!!!!

Thanks, michael

I have rechecked this and the ping response times in terminal are
different to what is reported in Hobbit. I have a 20ms difference in the
hobbit output on my webpage than from the terminal to the same site.

All

I have a Red Hat EL 2.6.9-5. I am using hobbit 4-20 on it. I am getting
inconsistent reports with ping on the server.

I can ping an address from another vmware server (windows) without a
problem. I am also getting incorrect times (ms) with regards to ping
responses on the remote sites I monitor.

Haven't patched this server so it could be due to that. Any insight
would be appreciated.
