I have successfully compiled on 11.23 IA64, and the trick is to ensure all prerequisite packages (and each of those packages prerequisites) are in place and correct/functional. Otherwise you get a bunch of false misleading errors that lead off into pointless meanderings trying to solve.
Look at the output from "configure" carefully
A good while back I also put a compiled version at http://dgw000.embarqspace.com/
But it will compile if you look through all the gnu packages needed.

I've compiled Xymon without issue on HP-UX 11.11 on PARISC and 11.31 on PARISC and IA64. We use gcc and make from the HP-UX porting center (http://hpux.connect.org.uk/), the compiler that comes with HP-UX can be problematic.
Which compiler and make are you using? What errors are you getting?

Hi Anthony,
I don't know - HP/UX is not my most used platform, so I don't have any binaries at hand. Try asking on the regular xymon mailing list - xymon (at) xymon.com - since I know there are some HP/UX users out there.
What errors do you get when you try to compile it ? And what compiler are you using ? I seem to recall the original HP/UX compiler has some problems, but gcc should work fine on this platform.
Regards,
Henrik
