Clearing "errors in" on cisco 3500XL

Hi Guys,

I am not sure if this is a devmon or hobbit question so I am mailing 
both parties. I am currently monitoring a Cisco 3500XL which is showing 
alot of "erros in" under the if_err section. When I clear the counters 
of the switch, everything returns to zero except "errors in" which still 
remains at the same level it was before clearing the counters.  Does 
anybody know how to clear these values?
