Not sure if there's a patch already in 4.2.3... but I had a similar type
of bug on x86_64 due to assumptions in acklog.c. Maybe this is
affecting you.
Check my post at http://www.hswn.dk/hobbiton/2008/09/msg00035.html and
see if it may be the same issue...
