In my opinion, no competition at all!
Looking at Nagio's propaganda, "no competition" is overstatement to hobbit.

I've just taken on a new job where they use Nagios for monitoring. I've
never used nagios before so it's a pretty steep learning curve.
The setup is basic and it's may job to flesh it out and provide some
detail - graphs, reports etc.
Every time I have to add a new monitor or get asked to graph something,
I keep thinking 'This would be so much easier with hobbit!'
