Re: AW: AW: [hobbit] Tracking file sizes

Well today I comfirmed that it NOT the data. I did a clean install ; then copied over the ext and etc directory. Still didn't work. Next I'll try a clean install and just update the etc files . The only other thing I think it could be it Libraries. Im using pcre 7.5 gcc3.49 rdd -1.2.19 perl 5.8.8, libping 1.2.24 libart-2.0 on a sol 9 sparc .
rddtool runs all of it expample fine too.
Or patches on the OS.

Question to all . Anyone running on a Sol9 sparc system? The system it running correctly on is a Sol 8 sparc but that is well patched. Unfortunately thats the unclassified side and most of the systems I need to monitor are on the classified side.

Ive been try to get this to work. Actually it work on another hobbit server. So I took the source from this server and copied to the non working one and rebuilt.
STILL not working. So I tried upgrading libraries; STILL not working.

I come to the conclusion that some files are not updated correctly when you installed to a old installation you would like to update. I can't see it being corrupted data.

Also another thing that works on one system and not the other is my nvc graphs don't appear
in only trends.

Where you doing a fresh install? Or updating a previous install?

Subject: [hobbit] Tracking file sizes

First: Sol9 sparc 4.2 with latest allinone patch

in hobbit-client.cfg
FILE /etc/ypfiles/passwd TRACK=passwd

in client-local.cfg
file:/etc/ypfiles/passwd

size of file is 66758

But the graph show way out sizes!:
cur:286723427454063.0

Search thought the archive I found someone with the same problem but
they never got answer.

Any Ideas whats wrong?
