RE: [hobbit] windows question

All I have done is to copy the files into the notes directory and rename the htm page to be the same as the display name on Hobbit e.g. localhost.htm, fs1.domain.internal etc. I have then just hard coded the IP address into the htm page and away it goes. There are better ways of doing it like opening a new tab in the browser before connecting and getting the IP address from the conn test but these are things for another day. If anyone does it I would appreciate a copy the htm page.

Hope this helps

Regards

Graeme

HI Graham.. This is a good idea.. Could you provide a little bit more info on how you use it? Can you pass a server value to it?

Off track, one trick to impress your Windows admins (assuming it fits your company policy) to add the Windows RDP Web client (http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=e2ff8fb5-97ff-47bc-bacc-92283b52b310&DisplayLang=en) to the Hobbit Notes directory (/var/lib/hobbit/www/notes). Once you modify the htm page appropriately your Windows admins can click on the link in the Hobbit page and open a terminal session to which ever server is of interest.

Hope this is useful

Is it possible to schedule a windows reboot command through hobbit? See below

C:\WINDOWS\system32\shutdown.exe/r/f

I need to run this command on a few servers every night and send emails to operations, “email” which I finally got working J

Any information would be appreciated.

Thanks!
