False positive during network test

I have a quirky firewall which is throttling back traffic every so often,
the result is an ssh failure to every host on the subnet. I am not using
ping tests for connectivity but rather an ssh test.
I have this definition in the bb-hosts file:
10.10.10.10 dmz_node # !telnet ssh noconn badssh:1:1:2
In hobbitlaunch.cfg
CMD bbtest-net --report --ping --checkresponse --timeout=60 --debug
Is there a way to bump the time-out up for ssh tests? I am obviously not
using the badtest correctly. In bb I lengthened the three net test
time-out variables and did not suffer from this malady.
Any suggestions?

Jim Horwath
