I would suggest to use a gcc and gmake to compile hobbit. I have
compiled hobbit on hp-ux 11.11 without problems.

Hello,

I have been a long time BB user, and have recently had to build a new
server and monitoring infrastructure, and have gotten a little annoyed
with how complex BB and LARRD have become. I have tried to compile
hobbit, but I get the following error. I have taken the -O out of the
Makefile and still have a problem...

cc -g -D_REENTRANT -DHPUX -I. -I/home/campnd/hobbit-4.1.2p1/include
-I/usr/local/include -I/usr/local/rrdtool-1.2.10/include
-I/usr/local/include -c -o do_rrd.o do_rrd.c

cc: "do_rrd.c", line 102: error 1521: Incorrect initialization.

cc: "rrd/do_la.c", line 138: warning 31: String literal contains
undefined escape sequence.

cc: "rrd/do_bea.c", line 119: warning 604: Pointers are not
assignment-compatible.

cc: "rrd/do_bea.c", line 151: warning 604: Pointers are not
assignment-compatible.

cc: "rrd/do_bea.c", line 183: warning 604: Pointers are not
assignment-compatible.

cc: "rrd/do_bea.c", line 187: warning 604: Pointers are not
assignment-compatible.

make[1]: *** [do_rrd.o] Error 1

make[1]: Leaving directory `/home/campnd/hobbit-4.1.2p1/hobbitd'

make: *** [hobbitd-build] Error 2

I am a very BAD programmer so bare with me. TIA.
