RE: [hobbit] problems starting hobbit server

Yes, I did rebuild hobbit after the upgrade (I took the same opportunity
to upgrade hobbit to the newest snapshot)...  It is all working now --
it was a file permissions problem in /dev

Select is a socket call used to set up a listener.  You say you did a 
massive upgrade, if you built Hobbit from source, did you rebuild it?
