Future feature request

I don't know if this is possible, and I know the server is still being worked on, so would not expect anything soon...

How about if the clients could update themselves? ie. we know they are going to contact the server every 5mins or so, when connected the server could tell the client if there are updates outstanding. If so, the client could reconnect later and pick up the changes/or a whole new client. Would have to ensure the wrong binaries would not be sent though.

Maybe a first pass could have some sort of "client version" code with them. When the client connects, it reports its version. This would allow easy reporting showing what version of code is on each system. We could then alarm when the client gets too far behind.

I think the bb pro version can SSL with clients, I know nagios clients can.

This is not really a big issue, since I am using cfengine these days and it works well.

Looking forward to using the new hobbit!

Thanks
