Hi,

I update the rrdtoo to 1.4 version, but there isn't the step optoin in rrdtool tune.

Someone has changed the interval of a graph to 1 minute?

Thanks,

If the versions of your software don't have those options, I don't know. You may want to mention what version of Xymon you are running and what OS it's running on. My systems are running the latest Linux and Xymon from Terabithia with the requisite dependencies.

Please keep the list included as there are others that may be able to help.

EXTERNAL

Hi,

Excuse me, I wrote badly. I executed "rrdtool tune --step 60 test.rrd"

The rrdtool does not have step option in my system:

rrdtool tune filename [--heartbeat|-h ds-name:heartbeat] [--minimum|-i ds-name:min] [--maximum|-a ds-name:max] [--data-source-type|-d ds-name:DST]
       [--data-source-rename|-r old-name:new-name] [--deltapos scale-value] [--deltaneg scale-value] [--failure-threshold failure-threshold]
       [--window-length window-length] [--alpha adaption-parameter] [--beta adaption-parameter] [--gamma adaption-parameter] [--gamma-deviation adaption-
       parameter] [--smoothing-window fraction-of-season] [--smoothing-window-deviation fraction-of-season] [--aberrant-reset ds-name]

I try something read in this xymon mail list:
rrdtool tune --step 60 test.rrd
ERROR: opening '--step': No such file or directory

What is the procedure/commands to have 60 seconds interval in a rrd file?

Thanks.

I think your command is incorrect...I think that should be `rrdtool tune --step 60'. You can 'man rrdtune' to get all the options but IIRC you're on the right track. I can't lay my hands on the doc that mentions how to do what you're attempting.

Hi,

I need to change 300 seconds to 30 seconds interval in the rrd file. With this file i will have a custom graph and 60 seconds interval

1) I try with the rrddefiniions.cfg, but don' work the file is recreated with step = 300

[test]
-s 60
RRA:AVERAGE:0.1:1:120
RRA:AVERAGE:0.5:5:576
RRA:AVERAGE:0.5:30:576
RRA:AVERAGE:0.5:120:576
RRA:AVERAGE:0.5:1440:576

2) i try rrdtool rrdtune --step = 60 test.rrd but there is not this option in my rrdtune command

Is there another procedure to change step to 60 seconds for a custom script/graph?
Thanks,
