[Xymon] can Xymon monitor Linux defunct process or Zombie process

Yes.

The Debian/Ubuntu package "hobbit-plugins"
(https://packages.debian.org/hobbit-plugins) contains such a test.

It's integrated in the package's "misc" check which runs simplified
subchecks.
