Thanks for your replies.
I had already tried the steps in the link Ryan posted, but it didn't work
for me for some reason.
Thankfully by recompiling setup-newfiles without the "-Wl,-R" flag following
Dominique's previous post, it installed without a hitch.
Much appreciated.
