[hobbit] Hobbit Generating Defunct Processes

Ummmm.... it might be. I have AIX version 5300-07-01-0748 running on two
servers... one blade and one p6... the p6 is the only one generating the
defunct procs...

If my memory serves me correctly, which is highly doubtful, I had a
similar problem with defunct processes on an earlier version of AIX that
was corrected by an AIX patch. The issue wasn’t due to Hobbit, but the
symptoms were the same.
Perhaps you should check to see if you have all the latest AIX patches
installed.
Just a wild guess!

I have Hobbit running on a IBM P6 lpar, with AIX 5.3 installed. It seems
about every 3-4 minutes a 'defunct' process is started by hobbit. I have
tried uninstalling and re-installing Hobbit, and rebooting the server. The
defunct processes are still being generated. Does anyone have any idea on
what is causing this? Thanks for your help.
