Hi,
I got a weird problem on a ping test.
Indeed, i got a simple definition in bb-hosts file:
10.204.32.41 plmfwl01 # DESCR:"Poalim,v1:PG,AA01,10" DEVMON
When i ping it from Hobbit server, it works:
# ping 10.204.32.41
PING 10.204.32.41 (10.204.32.41) 56(84) bytes of data.
64 bytes from 10.204.32.41: icmp_seq=0 ttl=254 time=6.18 ms
64 bytes from 10.204.32.41: icmp_seq=1 ttl=254 time=8.87 ms
64 bytes from 10.204.32.41: icmp_seq=2 ttl=254 time=8.38 ms
64 bytes from 10.204.32.41: icmp_seq=3 ttl=254 time=8.15 ms
--- 10.204.32.41 ping statistics ---
4 packets transmitted, 4 received, 0% packet loss, time 3003ms
rtt min/avg/max/mdev = 6.187/7.902/8.877/1.029 ms, pipe 2
But i got a ping alarm:
Tue Apr 7 16:57:42 2009 ping NOT ok
Service ping on plmfwl01 is not OK : Host does not respond to ping
System unreachable for 89 poll periods (21293 seconds)
red 10.204.32.41 is unreachable
Status unchanged in 5 hours, 56 minutes
I checked that the status is sent from this hobbit server and it's the
case.
I'm using fping in hobbit config but it works too from shell:
# fping 10.204.32.41
10.204.32.41 is alive
The others devices are pinging correctly, i got only 2 ip in this case.
What's going on ?
Regards,
Nico
