[hobbit] Xymon Logo ?

Agree, no rush but I hope this task should be going on at lesser priority.
 
see xym.jpg in this attached email(it is only 16KB) so I think it is ok to be sent via this email.
I don't know engough about GIMP yet. I hope the "X" has four hobbit colors in the devided four sections.
let me know if you want the xym.xcf gimp file to continue the work.
 
I think logo design should be designed by the icon professional designer.
I am willing to pitch in money for this cost also.

I agree.
Let's not rush into this.
Remember, we live in a world where lawyers prowl, and they will sue you, simply because your logo looks a little bit like theirs, or uses the same colours as theirs, or makes people crap the same colour as their logo does.
Hobbit worked fine for years without a logo, as did Linux, and many other products out there.
 
I am not saying we need to wait years before we come up with a logo, I just don't believe we need to rush into this.
Sometimes, when something doesn't need to be done, it is important that it isn't done.
