Josh, if you send it to Vladimir please email it to me as well? I will
be doing a 4.2 install on a CentOS 5.1 machine very shortly.

I know for a fact that Hobbit 4.2.0 has no compilation problems on
CentOS 5.1 - I've done it at least a dozen times.
I have a step by step guide for compiling Hobbit in this exact case -
can anyone recommend which Wiki or where I could post this guide? If
there is no place I'll just post it here or email Vladimir directly.

Are you compiling with -prefix flags? Where is the y/server coming from?
Have you modified any of the files in the release you downloaded?

What distro are you running? You might want to try a package.

I know little about compiling and coding, but is BBHOME supposed
to look like this?
BBHOME="y/server"
Are you root when you do a make install?
