I see the same thing on AIX 5.1 ML07 machines. In the script: 
hobbitclient-aix.sh change this line from:
netstat -an | grep "^tcp"
to
netstat -an | grep "^tcp" | head -5000

Most likely the netstat command is looping on the same MAC.  The above 
line fixed the problem.
