>From this it seems a problem related to the notes protocol. 
Check if you have something like: MAXMSG_NOTES="4096" in your
hobbitserver.cfg (It will allocate 4MB to notes messages)
Cfg2html create some big file and the default for NOTES protocol is 256k
I think. 

Probably it should not crash the hobbitd.
