Thanks Peter.
How do I see vmstat?
I see iostatdisk, iostatcpu, & vmstat running
on the client, but how do I pull up the reports?
With BB, I have a column entry for those.
Thanks...James

James,
I can help you with some of your questions;

No, the Hobbit-client software gathers all data as you said (fi.
iostat, vmstat) needed for the server to build the graph-part. The
iostat-part is currently under development (search the mailinglist for
more info) but I'm confident that Henrik will deliver some terrific
work here (again). The vmstat, needed for fi. the load-graph should
already work.

You can do that, there is no need to rush to change all clients
immedeately, but you can change in phases (first the test-systems,
see the differences and new graphs). Imho, there are lots of
improvements here, because a Hobbit-client show top-output for the
cpu-test, ps-output for the process-check, etc. So the need to login
at a system is hardly there, after you changed clients. Besides, the
Hobbit-client is consuming less resources. Best of all, the output the
os-commands generate is send to your hobbit server and can be seen and
checked! At the bottom of each test, you see the link 'Client data'.
Oh, I forgot another, even better feature: centralized management of
thresholds! Disk, memory, cpu etc. It's the server to decide and not
the client. So I think you will gain some time here ;-)
