Thanks for the info but the host generating these errors has neither sysctl 
net.ipv4.tcp_tw_reuse nor sysctl net.ipv4.tcp_tw_recycle set.

Redhat seems to be willing to correct this sometimes...(Work is underway at the 
moment to suppress these messages in further releases of Red Hat Enterprise 
Linux but is not a high priority because of the messages benign nature)

In the meantime I patched the netstat -ant for this particuliar client 
(hobbitclient-linux.sh):

echo "[ports]"
netstat -ant 2> /dev/null
