No, I had version 4.1.2p1 up and running and fetched the archive from a Sourcforge mirror.
Then I did a fresh install in a new directory.

./bb 127.0.0.1 ping
hobbitd 4.2.0

The mirror I chose was MESH solutions in Duesseldorf.
