I had so much trouble with sendmail I switched to EXIM. The help file
gave explicit instructions for changing this. 10 minutes total.

Subject: [hobbit] notifications

I am using the default install of sendmail with my linux distribution
(RH 7.2) It is sending out alerts as "hobbit at servername.domain.com. I am
getting tired of explaining to every new person what Hobbit is (even
though I really like showing them!) I would like to have the alerts go
out as something like "system-alarms at servername.domain.com Can anyone
tell me if there is a simple way to change the name these alerts go out
as?

Thanks

btw..I am not a sendmail wizardso simple is good.
