<p>the Xymon mailing list has been running for more than 15 years. It started when the project was separated from the original Big Brother origins, and has been running since then.</p>

<p>I stopped doing any serious development of Xymon more than 5 years ago, and I haven't really been following the list since then. But I can see that the number of mails per month on the list has gradually decreased over the years. </p>

<p>The list is currently running on a Debian 10 server with the GNU Mailman v2 software. This version of Mailman is going out of support, and an upgrade to version 3 is necessary once support for Debian 10 ends. This appears to be rather complicated - it is not automatic, but there are some scripts - and since the mailing list is co-located with my personal (and family) email service, any mail malfunction is going to be pretty annoying.</p>

<p>So moving the list to Mailman v3 is something that I will not do. Therefore some other way of running the mailing list must be found - or it will shut down sometime in the beginning of 2024. In other words, I need someone to provide hosting and care for the mailing list.</p>

<p>I will be happy to point the DNS record of xymon.com to another mailserver. Please mail me directly if you want to discuss this - of course, it is fine if you cc the Xymon list.</p>
