<div><font size="3">we have a xymon 4.2.3 server running on centos 5 (X1)</font></div><div><font size="3"><br></font></div><div><font size="3">I am charged with migrating that toi a new centos 7 server.<br><br>So I now have a xymon 4.3.28 server running on centos 7 (X2)</font></div><div><font size="3"><br></font></div><div><font size="3">So... how do i go about copying WHAT from X1 to X2, and how do I get around the "gotcha" that is the changes from 4.2 to 4.3. I see that there is an "upgrade" script, and a list of manual stuff as alternative actions... but they both rather assume you are staying on the same server to upgrade only xymon ie everything is in situ.<br><br>It is not viable to upgrade on the existing server as its a live production environment nor is it viable to install 4.2/3 on the new server due to time constraints.<br><br>I short I need to know how to efficiently migrate the 4.2.3 files and data and history etc from X1 to X2.</font></div><div><font size="3"><br></font></div><div><font size="3">Apologies of this is a FAQ!</font></div><div><font size="3"><br></font></div><div><font size="3">Ian</font></div></div></body></html>
