<p class="MsoNormal">Long time user of BB, enthusiastic amateur with Linux, trying to get xymon installed on Ubuntu server 16.04 and it fails on pcre checking during the ./configure.<o:p></o:p></p>

<p class="MsoNormal">I have confirmed that the pcre includes are installed in /usr/include and libs in /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">I have used –pcreinclude /usr/include – pcrelib /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu<o:p></o:p></p>

<p class="MsoNormal">I ran a sudo apt-get install apache2 rrdtool librrd-dev libpcre3-dev libssl-dev ldap-utils libldap2-dev fping before trying to run ./configure<o:p></o:p></p>
