<p>Xymon server-part only runs on Linux (and other Unix variants). It will work fine on any of the Ubuntu variants, server or desktop.</p>

<p>Upgrading from BB should be fairly straight-forward - your bb-hosts file must be renamed to "hosts.cfg", and the alert-setup must be re-done, since the Xymon alert configuration is very different.</p>
