<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Calibri","sans-serif";color:#1F497D">For anyone else that may have run into this, here’s the solution. When you use APT to install the hobbit package, it does a full install. So in the /usr/lib/hobbit/client/etc/clientlaunch.d
folder, are a bunch of .cfg files. This is where the DISABLED was commented out on all those extra alerting packages. I uncommented, restarted hobbit, and deleted the tests from my main xymon servers. Then all was right again.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

hint, I was looking to do the disabled from the xymon server central side, I didn’t think about on the client side itself..<o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal">Google tells me that these are both part of the hobbit-plugins package. If so, you can disable certain tests by editing the relevant launch files in hobbitlaunch.d or equivalent Xymon directory. Or the relevant section in etc/clientlaunch.cfg.
Add "DISABLED" or change "ENABLED" to "DISABLED" to ... well, disable.<o:p></o:p></p>
