<div dir="ltr">Forgive me if this is a stupid question and for my poor linux skills - I'm learning. I have installed xymon on ubuntu using apt-get install xymon and it has started a bunch of process for me as part of the install. It's created a xymon user. When I try and stop the service using xymon.sh stop it tells me I have to do it as the xymon user. As there is no password assigned to the user I can't su as xymon to start and stop the script. I am able to start and stop it using <span style="color:rgb(51,51,51);font-family:Arial,sans-serif;font-size:14px;line-height:20px">/etc/init.d/xymon start/stop but not sure if I should be doing it this way. Should I be setting my own password on the xymon account and using it to stop and start?</span><div><span style="color:rgb(51,51,51);font-family:Arial,sans-serif;font-size:14px;line-height:20px"><br></span></div><div><span style="color:rgb(51,51,51);font-family:Arial,sans-serif;font-size:14px;line-height:20px">Thanks</span></div></div>
