What Apache version are you using? I just upgraded my server to Apache 2.4 and they've changed how the redirects function in the configs. I had to modify my apache config to comply with the new way of doing things before it would work. Check for a line like this in your httpd.conf (in Centos "extra" could be replaced by "conf.d")

Include /etc/httpd/extra/xymon-apache.conf

The file xymon-apache.conf sets alias and rewite rules that make xymon pages display on Apache.

Furthermore, the standard xymon rules let you acees the page from the url servername/xymon/ (with the trailing slash)
