I still don't think you're understanding this. <br><br>Xymon has the centralized server, which has a network component that polls other servers on network-related matters and the clients that report in on their host's local resources. That is true in all cases, and was true of Big Brother. What was added in Xymon/Hobbit or maybe somewhere in between is the ability to configure the alerting thresholds on the server side (analysis.cfg is it?) rather than keeping that information on likely a large number of client hosts, making changes tedious. This new way has been the default and preferred for some time. I don't think the client-side ought to be offered and broken, but I've heard it may be.  <br> </font><br> <br>
