<div>I have a client who wants us to construct a hierarchy of alternate page set pages in Xymon. If I am reading the documentation on alternate page sets correctly (man page for hosts.cfg) this is not possible “out of the box”. You can’t even make alternate
page sets appear dynamically on “regular” pages (am I correct on this point?).</div>

<div>Just in case I’m not being clear, the requirement is to have a collection of pages (alternate page sets), constructed into the usual hierarchy of navigation pages, with color-background and icon changes from the lower pages propagating up to the “root-level”
page.</div>
