I'm using CentOS 5.3 64bit with xymon-4.3.0-beta2<br><br>It seems that when on <b>bb-hosts</b> there is config where there are short similar names, the first connection test fail. This means that the ping of <b>aa</b> trought ip <b>1.2.3.4</b> fail<br><br>for to reproduce the problem put on <b>bb-hosts</b><br><br><b>1.2.3.4 aa #<br>1.2.3.5 aa1 #<br>1.2.3.6 aa2 #</b><br><br>after a while the check <b>conn</b> of <b>aa</b> go to red<br><br>on the server shell you are able to run ping,fping,hobbitping trought <b>aa</b> and it works. However the xymon check fail<br><br><b>fping -Ae 1.2.3.4<br></b><b>1.2.3.4 is alive (0.17 ms)</b><br><br><br>it seems that there is a walktrhought for bypass the problem<br><br>if you put <b>aa</b> host after <b>aa2</b> the check go back green<br><br><b>1.2.3.5 aa1 #<br>
